Giving Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving!! Are most of you all turkey-ed out or are you just diving in today? I’m not sure what it is about the holiday’s but we just can’t help but over eat…we take seconds…then maybe just a small third…then there is desert and maybe, just maybe, you dive in one more time for a late night snack.

We especially do this during thanksgiving and Christmas!!  But we do need to remember, to not go too nuts! Try and space the portions out (no we are not talking 15min in-between) throughout the day take small portions and enjoy.  Your digestive system will thank you for it(as it will be able to breakdown the good food you are enjoying so that you can get the nutrients from it) and you might not need that “Turkey” nap!

On a weekend like this I’m not sure why you’d want to nap and I LOVE to nap!  In Ontario we have been absolutely blessed with this weather!  Our article today is going to be short and sweet, we want you to go outside and enjoy!!!  A lot of family’s already do this but if you don’t yet start a new family tradition of a thanksgiving walk, get your family moving and enjoy the fall colours! Walking get’s your blood pumping, oxygen circulating, and elevates your mood.

Along with the walking this thanksgiving we want you to give thanks, it simple and takes no time.  You might be going through a hard time in your life but giving thanks for even the smallest thing helps you heal and starts you moving forward in a positive direction.  Thanksgiving is a great time of year to start but you don’t have to stop there, everyday be thankful, even if it’s for the simplest thing.

I’m thankful for my wonderful family and the time we shared this weekend, below are some pictures from our walk, I hope you enjoy.

Gobble Gobble Gobble Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
